Where is my site’s data hosted?

Your WordPress sites, their databases and backups are hosted on our LiteSpeed servers. Server location: France (Roubaix). Cached copies of your public pages are delivered by the QUIC.cloud CDN. For any question about where your data lives or about our sub-processors, our team answers through the contact form.

Will my site be just as fast outside France?

Yes. Every Hosterwise site is served through QUIC.cloud, LiteSpeed’s CDN: this reverse proxy keeps a copy of your public pages in its points of presence and delivers them over HTTP/3 close to each visitor. A customer in Montreal, São Paulo or Singapore loads your site from a point near them, not from our server.

According to the QUIC.cloud network map, the CDN had 78 points of presence across 8 world regions when we checked on 12 October 2026. Personal pages (cart, checkout, customer account, admin) are never served from cache: our server computes them, as with any host.

For transparency: QUIC.cloud is run by QUIC Cloud Inc., a US company, and its points of presence process your visitors’ requests, including their IP address, outside Europe too. Its privacy policy, data processing agreement and sub-processor list are public; mention this CDN in your own privacy policy.

GDPR: what your choice of host changes

The GDPR applies to any site processing data about people in the European Union. Your host normally acts as a processor under Article 28: it must offer sufficient guarantees and the processing must be covered by a contract. A host established in France is itself bound by the GDPR.
